Just my luck...

For my English project I decided to observe the tree outside my house. I started observing on September twenty two. The first couple of days it would be really windy and the leaves would flow with the wind as one. I climbed on top of my trash cans to get a better look at the high branches and leaves. At least every single leaf had turned brown, all rusty and so fragile. The branches on the other hand weren't so fragile, and all the little bugs that used to live on that tree had disappeared. The tree bark had different shades of brown, one part would be light brown and then it would transition to a dull brown and then a very dark brown. The tree trunk had grown so big that it made a crack on the sidewalk and lifted it. Each day more and more leaves and twigs would fall off. The leaves and twigs were one with the wind because when the wind was strong they would follow the same movement and when there was no wind it was so still.

When I would get home from school  I would put my backpack down and go look at the tree and I would notice the ground was filled with  large amounts of twigs like the tree was shedding and I could only see some patches of green grass.

September 29th was just full of luck for me... I was walking into my parking lot and I noticed something different, the tall tree was missing. I ran to where the tree used to stand and I could not believe it, they cut down the tree. This kind of thing could only happen to me. I was so disappointed. There was a truck in the parking lot where all the leaves and dead branches laid. The tree trunk was cut into about 12 pieces but the base of the tree was still attached to the ground.

I had to change my subject for my observation. I picked the moon. It was October 1st when I started observing the moon. I went outside and it was so peaceful, I could hear the wind blowing in my ears. It was silent. The moon was almost a semi-circle that night, it was so bright and only a few stars surrounded it. Earlier that night there were big black grayish clouds covering most of the sky and it just made it shine brighter.
